Come Home 04:51
Come Home I got a little piece of my heart that you wanted to call home Take me with you every step that you may roam Tell me so that I can show Tell me so that I can know Tell me, because I want to know when you’re coming home Tell me, so I can let you know if I’m not alone You got your wires crossed I was always in your plans Never wished to gain an upper hand You say you want to understand your man Well come and see me when you can Tell me so that I can know Tell me so that I can show Tell me, because I want to know when you’re coming home Tell me, so I can let you know if I’m not alone Oh little darling, when you going to show Tell me because I want to know when you’re coming home Tell me, so I can let you know if I’m not alone I want to take your back again to that field behind our house I want to take you back there baby, won’t you oh please let me Tell me, because I want to know, when you’re coming home, when you’re coming home

Once I fell right from above to land straight into a love of mine She asked me where I’d come from, I said I guess I fell down from the sky She showed me all the things that I could not care less about I stuck around for long enough to realise I must get out My mind and my body in a battle to break free She’s the first thing that I’m dreaming of and the last thing I want to see I thought I sang songs loud enough, I thought I sang her to sleep A red light at a traffic stop, I could not reduce my speed Now how could I have loved her when I didn’t even love me She’s the first thing that I’m dreaming of and the last thing I want to see I told her no excuses, I gave her only reasons for For dancing rings around her, then dancing right out her door Now I’m sorry I never caught her when I swept her off her feet She’s the first thing that I’m dreaming of and the last thing I want to see

Get Ready 03:56
We used to worry about our lives We were worried about this soul We used to worry about everything in sight But those days are gone Nobody’s worrying about anything at all Because there’s people dropping down every other day We’re living for the good times Forget about your bad times Who knows this might be our last day So get ready, it won’t be too long So get ready, it won’t be too long I know the man I heard what he say Make yourself at home Enjoy your stay You won’t do nothing unless you do it my way So what are we to do now? Throw are hands up? Bow your head when you have had enough? Find some soil to bury these dreams that I had? We’re living for the good times Forget about your bad times Who knows this might be our last day So get ready, it won’t be too long So get ready, it won’t be too long

So afraid to love you So afraid to care So afraid to love you too much I was afraid I might drive you away Afraid I might drive you away Afraid I might drive you away But now you’re here and gone Now you’re here and gone Now you’re here and gone again girl I’m afraid I’ll never love you again Afraid I’ll never love you again

All in search of a drugless thrill We took a drive and took a spill I wouldn’t mind, but there was someone else there Heaven knows we should take a little care The day was fine the air was clear And when you’re young you got no fear We’re just trying to have some fun We sure don’t want to hurt no one Across the grass my engine strains Adrenaline pumping through my veins When the wind’s blowing through your hair You feel like you got no care Down to the corner, around the bend A little miracle may heaven send Down to the corner right towards the stream Faster and faster the demons scream Suddenly we’re on the ground No thump. No sound. Nothing broken . Nothing bled. I thinks it best if there was nothing said I don’t care what you say to me, a numbed mind accompanies a desperate soul. And now I resign, I won’t spoil for others what I’d take from mine

Saxy Funk 05:04
Woman, can you show me? Do you remember how to treat your man? Woman, can you show me? Do you remember how to treat your man? Because you’ve been away so long You know so many things gone wrong Let me tell you You know I want it You know I need it You know it, give me all the love you got inside Let me tell you You know I want it You know I need it You know it, give me all the love you got inside She’s the kind of girl that she don’t mind which way she gets her kicks With marmalade she’s best behaved so spread it good and thick

I'll Be Fine 05:44
What do you do when you’re torn between your heart and mind? Just lie in bed all day unaware of the world slipping by What do you do when you’re torn between your heart and mind? There’s only one answer and that’s to pretend that you’re fine And I’ll be fine just give me some time So I get up and make myself breakfast and search for a light And turn on the t.v. to make sure the world’s still alright And it’s the fight in the man not the size of the man in the fight So let’s open another just to make sure that you’re out of sight And I’ll be fine just give me some time Well that’s it, I’m lonely, I’m useless or maybe I’m wrong I thought that I’d lost the fight but it was there all along The struggle in my mind is one of my head and my heart So let’s talk about it please before I fall apart And I’ll be fine

What Colour 04:05
Let me tell you a story about a town Where they build you up so they can try to knock you down It’s a great old place, the people love you to you face But just wait until you turn around In this small town too many words get thrown around Words like thread, they bend when said to fit into your plans Friends are lost at little cost It’s way out of your hands Truth be told? I wish it could, but you know it probably won’t You could stand up but you don’t In this small town too many words get thrown around And they don’t sound like they used to do In this small town, too many words get thrown around What colour are you going to paint me today? No matter what I do or what I say, they’re going to change the whole thing anyway. What colour are you going to paint me today? It’s hard not to be a part, an end, a start, a player or a pawn You can’t choose to opt out because you’ve been in it all along Whether the story’s tall, right or wrong, or got no truth at all It dosen’t matter once they fall In this small town, too many words get thrown around Why do you want to be the big fish swimming in this small pond? Is it so you can shake that magic wand that tricked a million people into thinking that you’re some kind of god? In this small town too many words get thrown around And they don’t sound like they used to do In this small town, too many words get thrown around What colour are you going to paint me today? No matter what I do or what I say, they’re going to change the whole thing anyway. What colour are you going to paint me today?

You never will regret anything you choose All you will remember is just what you didn’t do Lay it down Say you don’t want no loving and I’ll be on my way But if you got a little time to squeeze me in then I’ll be here to stay Lay it on down good time girl Lay it on down now we can’t go wrong If I take you out girl, you got to let me in You can keep me up all night, you can put my head in a spin Lay it on down good time girl Lay it on down now we can’t go wrong

You come into this world With eyes that burn wild with hope and truth And everyone can see you want to be you Try to break you, make you feel like you’re the only one who can’t figure it out You think your getting wiser But you know you’re only getting older And it don’t quite work out the way you thought it would Life gets a hold in you I want to break you Falling down ain’t part of the plans they made for you Don’t you tell me that’s not the way That it never could be that way Conversation over You want to try change it up Want to try something new Let me be the one to tell you It’s not the first attempt, it sure won’t be last one There’s a hundred more behind you in the queue Trying to figure it out So when you’re all said and done At least you’re not the only one To feel that ice cold hand upon your neck Life gets a hold in you I want to break you Falling down ain’t part of the plans they made for you Don’t you tell me that’s not the way That it never could be that way Conversation over

about

During the summer of 2013, we had taken residence in a beautiful little 200 year old church in Co. Meath. It was the perfect base for a band of our size, and gave us breathing space to practice and get tight for a fairly hectic summer of gigging.

Come September, things were dying down and we were in good shape after getting pretty tight for a slot at the Electric Picnic at the end of August. So O’Leary, Cluck and Brian locked themselves in St. Columba’s church for 3 days, recording live takes of 17 songs. No click tracks were used and only 3 takes were done of each song, to keep everything sounding as live as possible.

Over the coming months we recorded the brass, vocals, keys, harmonica and percussion. Mostly done in the church, but some parts had to be completed in the Drogheda Brass Band rooms and Brian’s house after the cold and damp set in.

It was so much fun doing this album, and we hope it comes across through the music. We really hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.
